Toy & Christmas Clearance ::: Target

Starting today, Christmas Clearance should be 75% off [minimum of 50%]. Since I am on vacation this week, I'm going today to see if I can do any coupon matchups for extrodinary savings!

If so, I will certainly post pics later.

Also, Targets semi-annual toy clearance has started at 30%. I, of course, will wait until it's at 75% [my rule] to stock up for gifts for the year of 2010 [gulp] and Christmas next year.

TIP: make a list of EVERYONE you will need to buy gifts for in the next year. Include a few extra birthday party gifts that your child[ren] will tell you last minute they have been invited to a friend's party.

CHALLENGE: only buy the items at 75% off or more and track your savings. I will be!

Target Markdown Schedule

I bet a lot of you are wondering just when Target marks down their items for clearance... well, here is the weekly schedule by department/category:

I ran into Target yesterday, and low & behold, the kids clothing in each department had a few racks fo 75% off!!

A lot of clearance can be found on end caps of aisles, aside from softlines (clothing/shoes).

Holiday Clearance

There is still time and lots of Holiday Clearance at many stores. Check out the following for fabulous bargains:

• Target 75% off... should go to 90% in the next day or two
• Hobby Lobby 80% off... still TONS of great stuff!
• CVS 75% off... most likely won't go any lower... check for Hallmark Ornaments. I got a Thomas the Train with Percy ornament for $3.25 next year for little man.
• WalMart 75% off... not sure if this will go to 90%. Pretty picked over, but still lots of wrapping paper. Check for patterns/solids that can work all year long for birthday and other gifts.
